Had to change the fuel pump on my 1968 GS400. This car has 74k miles and is all numbers matching. As far as I can tell, the only thing ever replaced on engine was the water pump. Just thought you guys would like to see what they used on the assembly line in June 1968. 1). Looks like fuel pump was painted Buick red. 2). The 3/8" rubber supply line is 15" long and has 3 ribs running lengthwise. Overall width of all 3 ribs is 1/8". It was installed with green pinch clamps. 3). The 1/4" rubber return line is 11.5" long and has the word "GAS" in white every 1.25" running lengthwise. Height of "GAS" lettering is 3/16". Return line was secured with red pinch clamps. They are only original once and untouched examples are rare. Hope this helps preserve the knowledge.
