With a little TLC this thing could be SHARP!

I want to disclose as much as I know so here's what the pics don't show. These photos were taken before I had the new motor installed and before it sat outside for 2 years.

Mechanical:

Brakes - I haven't checked to see if it's a fluid issue or if the car needs a brake job. The last time I drove the car it had sat for two months and they felt kind of soft. I was planning on swapping out the entire rear-end with a rebuilt larger rear-end with disc brakes and doing the drum/disc conversion to lighten the car up and improve braking performance (along with adding a stronger rear-end geared a little more street friendly).

The interior:

The seating is in really good condition. Both front and rear bench seats are completely intact and tear free. All seat belts/buckles work properly.

The head liner is in good condition but has a couple small tears in it. I have found a new replacement head liner for $69.95 plus shipping on eBay.

Gauges:

I replaced all the gauges with brand new (lower priced) gauges but I'm having problems with them. It could be a installation issue, could be their junk.
The tach works great, but is older. I was planning on replacing it when I switched the points system over to electronic ignition.

Exterior:

The car sat outside for over 2 years while I was going through my divorce.

Rust/Body:

There are small places where there is surface rust on the car. These are very small and definitely fixable. The floorboards, trunk, 1/4's and fenders are all in great shape. The bumper chrome is in good condition, but if you're planning on showing the car should be re-dipped.

The car was painted when I bought it, but whoever did the work did a terrible job. That along with the sun beating on it for two years the paint is cracked and pealing in several places. I've had 2 body shops look at it and they both gave me different answers to the repair/repaint option. Personally I would strip it, repair any rust that I could find and just repaint the entire car. There's also some bondo work, but it appears to be minimal. How minimal? Until the car is stripped, who knows? But I've pulled back a small section of the cracked paint and there's bare metal underneath.

The cracks in the paint are a low priority to me as I wanted to make sure all the mechanics were fixed/replaced first. If I don't sell it I'll have it completely stripped and painted over the winter. The car has almost no rust and has been sitting inside a dry garage since I've had it back.

There was an area that was bubbled, so I penetrated the paint and peeled back a small layer to find a location that had been obviously repaired poorly and simply painted over. While there is surface rust, there is metal underneath (no holes all the way through). It looks like the car was stripped at one point, all the places on the car that needed repaired where, but they stopped there and instead of prepping and priming the car for a lasting paint job the just painted it and sold the car. I was going to strip the car personally and prep it for painting at a local shop to save myself some cash. I estimate that it would have taken me about 2 full days to completely strip the car and have it ready to be taken to a shop and painted. These pics show the worst parts of the chipping. This only really appears in the rear half of the car. The pic below is the worst case I could find on the entire car.

This car basically just needs some minor body work and a paint job and you should be able to enjoy it for years to come! If you're looking to get more power out of this car, I'm sure there are all kinds of things you can do to make this thing run fast.

I'm looking to sell the car outright or maybe trade for a Harley Davidson. If you're interested let me know! I can provide more information/photos upon request. I may also be open to other trades, you never know. Send me pics of what you have.

This car is truly a classic muscle car. I turn heads EVERYWHERE I go in it, and while it seems like this car needs a lot of work, the mechanical side of the car is solid with very few things left that need done.

At buyers expense I can work with you to ship this car anywhere in the world! Contact me first before bidding if you're out of the U.S. - Local pick-up is expected unless other arrangements have been pre-agreed upon.

Any questions?? Just ask!!

admin@haste.net for more info.
