How bad are the scratches, and where are they. Mine has a small crack on the lower drivers side, way in the bottom corner. It looks like it's all the way, from the side to the bottom (only @ 2" or 3" long). But it is rough inside. If I clean it with a papertowel, pieces stick to the glass o No: Also, where in NJ is it. Dan, I am located in Somerville, NJ 08876. The scratches are like wiper scratches. They are on the passenger side. I will pull the windshield out today and check it out better. I looked on Yahoo maps and you are about 3 1/2 hours away. What kind of shape is the 66 Skylark you are working on? Thanks, Jerseysky66 Bob
Looks like it has 3 scratches on the lower passenger side towards the center. It has some chips, but they are on the edges. I took some pictures, but they did not come out good. If you copy them to your computer you can enlarge them. Thank you, Bob
The scratches don't look too bad. They might be able to get buffed out. Is this off a car you are parting out? My 66 is in ok shape. It has a 67 nose on it right now, but I hope to correct that someting this summer. Right now I'm trying to finish the 68. Maybe I can take a road trip on Monday, and come down to see the windshield. I need to remove mine anyway, to fix the rotten dash. I really didn't want to try to piece it back into the car. Let me know if that will work. Thanks, Dan :3gears:
The windshield is from a package deal I bought. I don't have a parts car. That is funny that your 66 has a 67 nose. One of my 66's that I am working on has a 67 nose. The person did a real bad job. I will be pulling the nose off, but I am going to keep the 67 stuff on. I will be around on Monday. I will PM you. Thanks, Bob
