Due to limited funds at this time, I am replacing the front drums on my 1967 Skylark instead of upgrading to discs like I planned. Started today, and ran into a little roadblock. Got new Wagner drums for a really good price online. When I went to take the old ones off the car, it seems that the on the old ones, the hub/wheel bearing carrier is cast into the drum. The new one doesn't have the bearing carrier/hub, nor does it appear that any new ones I have researched online, from various sites, including Napa, Oreilly's, and Autozone. Upon inspection of the old one, there is a clear separation line between the "hub assembly" and drum, but on the outside, I cannot find any separation line verifying they are two pieces. Also, it appears nobody sells a hub/bearing carrier when I searched online. Should the new drum have the hub assembly with it, or is it possible that my assembly is seized together? Help!!

Some pics of the new front drums would help. I know with other year disk rotors I needed to pound out the races.

Pics of the difference in drums. Seems as though the hub/bearing carrier would slide out, similar in fashion to the rear brakes on a FWD car, but I tried to tap it out with a piece of aluminum and a hammer, but it wouldn't budge. Maybe some heat is needed? Wheel studs need to be removed? Soak with some WD40? Or were they originally cast as one? Either way, haven't been able to get it to budge. GM service manual isn't much help with this, as it covers all lines and not just the Skylark. Thing I find odd about it is all drums available seem to be without the hub, but the hub itself doesn't seem to be available new. Any thoughts are appreciated. I have been known in the past to force/break things, and I don't want to break any part of this if certain parts are not available. you gotta take the wheel studs off.

I thought the studs were pressed into the hub, not the drum. Guess the studs hold it all together. Should I put some heat to it to get the studs out without damaging the hub, since that seems to be the part to absolutely not damage?

you should be able to pound the hubs out without removing the studs, I have done this many times, they do not come out easily but will come out

Some of them need a hydraulic press to separate them and press back together

So I know, if I have to press it out, am I pressing the wheel studs, the hub, or do I have to press the studs first, and then also press the hub? Due to the apparent scarcity of the hub, I do not want to break it. Of note, the Olds site listed above had a good tip, drill all the holes in the drum out ever so slightly so that the drum can be slipped on and off. Might do that.
