Thanks Rick. I don't have an OPGI catalog or similar vendor catalog but I'll bet they don't make vinyl kits in yellow to cover the 151 possible sales.

It gets murkier: from OPGI -
COLORS AVAILABLE: Black, dark aqua, blue, off white, red or saddle

Even if you wanted to recreate yellow, it would be difficult. The best way would be to buy off white and carefully dye it yellow.

I shared the information with the owner/seller. He says the interior is white, period. So, the yellow must be pretty 'light'. I also googled and found a Hemmings Muscle article on a red/white interior 1967 GS400 convertible. Interior was white, bench seat, with correct GS upholstery. Of course, that could be that light grey/Dove or as OPGI calls it "off white". All very confusing.

I would hate to dye an expensive OPGI replacement interior yellow if it was later proven to be a special code interior install in white.

I own a 1968 Cadillac Eldorado with special paint, code 00-61. 00 means you can paint the car any color you want. In this case it's Lavender, Wisteria. -61 means white padded vinyl top, which is has.

My interior is "stock" too in Deauville cloth and vinyl. Deauville cloth is Houndstooth pattern. Since we do not know what 4503 070158 mean I am still unsure what this car is.

I tend to lean toward the experts here that the interior is a faded light yellow.

I was referring to the GS400 convertibles. Sorry for the confusion. I've gone back and changed it to state convertibles. So 151 '67 GS400 convertibles with yellow bucket seats.

There was no Saddle interior option for the GS400. That incorrect info has been floating around on the internet thanks to OPGI for many years and has been the subject of a few threads on this board. Yellow buckets was 193, not Saddle buckets.

Pay no attention to OPGI, they are incorrect. Disregard them as a source of correct info.

Yes I 100% believe that Saddle was not a GS400 interior color option. I think OPGI picked it up for a lot of reasons, none of which they are going to come on here and comment on. For one thing it was years ago that OPGI made the decision to offer saddle as an interior color for GS400. Maybe nobody remembers.

For another - I have not researched Saddles application in other 67 Skylarks but there it does appear to be an offered color in bench seats. It appears the code was similar - the 63 part. For me, and for this car - yellow it is. The fact that the photos of the seats and door panels look white has nothing to do with the fact they were once yellow.

Frankly, that interior is a mess and has been exposed to the elements for a while. That would bleach out anything that was light. The old thread made it clear that this was a light yellow and one comment referred to it as pearl. I believe I have seen that pearl like shade on some 60's cars, yea.

As for a modern color, I was reminded of YEAR ONE in that old thread. When I sought to find interior kit colors, I googled something and OPGI popped up, so I picked on them. I had totally forgot about YEAR ONE. YEAR ONE was the bomb back 15 years ago, in my opinion - they created the trend toward providing authentic replacement parts for muscle cars. I might be wrong, but that's my recollection. Then along came Legend, OPGI and others as it became obvious this was a hot market.

I know OPGI does not offer yellow as a 193 code option so I will see if someone else does.

I think there are only two upholstery companies (soft parts in general), Legendary and PUI. If you buy from any of the ‘catalog’ guys, you’re getting one or the other, and consensus seems to be that Legendary has the better product. I think you can purchase direct from them, too.

Yes, Legendary has that color which tells me they are the ones to use. So far, I only see it in seats as Pearl Yellow. For this car, one would need everything!
