I am selling a 67 GS hood that is totally solid and includes the scoops and Buick letters. That hood is in very good shape with very minor rust on the inside behind the hood nose. The outside is very good with a slight dent on the top towards the passenger edge in the last pic. The price is $350. I would rather the hood be picked up but would entertian shipping if necessary. I also a 67 gs grille I will be putting on here.
Just to let everyone know, the red spots on the hood was where someone used a red spray can on it. I am using light light steel wool on it and it is coming off. There is no rust under the spots.
Its hard to tell from the pictures what condition the inserts and scoops are in. Are there any broken studs? Can we get close ups of the inserts? And where is Novi?
The top of the hood looks good - 1 minor dent that I pointed out. The scoops look good. The inserts are not bad although they have a few pits. The studs are not broken. I will try to get closeups later today.
Scott, Here are the pics of the scoops/inserts. The first pic, some of the paint is chipped off. The scoops are fine. Novi is located about 30 miles north west of Detroit. The grille was posted and someone is buying it already.
The hood scoops are whats worth money here, I see them go on ebay up to $200(when the economy was good).. The hood is fair & repairable condition so I would estimate the hood at 175 to 275 range complete..
67GSFUN, Those scoops have routinely gone for $150 very recently. I have seen the GS hood without the scoops go for $200 by itself. The hood is better than fair given really no rust or weak areas to deal with. The slight dent is hardly any repair.
