Need help if anyone can answer please. Is the steering bowl machine pressed on at the factory ? It looks like it should slide backwards down the shaft given a bit of persuasion. However, I do not want to hammer on it and find out that I broke something on the inside whereas I should have used a special tool. Any helpful comments would be appreciated. Regards
Hello Dan I am guessing that you don't have a chassis manual. I rebuilt my 67 GS tilt column using the manual. I can't remember off hand what i needed to do to remove the bowl.
