I ordered a set of gaskets over a month ago. They have not yet arrived even though my PayPal account was debited on 9/1/2015. There is no phone number listed and only an Email address. There was no response to my Email request. I did not find any phone number for Chris on Superpages.com

Anybody have any information? I really need these gaskets to complete my restoration.

    Hi Ted,

I don't know what's going on with my PayPal / Email connection but I'm not receiving emails from them regarding new orders. I'm sending you some gaskets tomorrow via USPS and they should be to you in a couple of days.

    Sorry for any inconvenience.

Thank you Chris. Looking forward to getting the gaskets. Making parts for these old Buicks can be a risky situation. I made 5 sets of engine mounts for the 65 GS and they cost me $180 each. Now CARS is selling them for less than I have invested. So much for that plan.

Unfortunately the volumes for these parts are small and the cost of producing a quality part is high. It's not something to pursue if you are looking to make a profit and breaking even is a best case situation. Buick guys should take note of this and realize that the higher costs of parts isn't due to someone trying to retire from a single project but rather the out of pocket investment to create the tooling for a part that will meet or exceed OEM specifications. When two or more people attempt to reproduce the same part... everyone will lose as the demand simply isn't there or the lower cost parts often fail to meet customer expectations.
