I have just acquired an "extremely" restorable 63 Invicta station wagon. I plan to start the frame off restoration/ restification for my wife sometime in the near future if everything works out for me. My question is concerning body panels, trim, glass, etc... Are there any other body styles that parts will interchange for the 63 model year Invicta or do I need to find another Invicta for spare parts? And where can I find body to frame bushings and such parts from? I've restored a couple different cars over the years, but, those were very popular body styles that you can find every part in the world for! This thing is going to be a pain in the butt I'm affraid! Little things like the tail light housing rubbers, the rear side glass window rubber, etc... will be a pain. Any help or info will be appreciated!

    Thanks, Jim Howard

LOL, never thought of a 50 year old Buick as a newer model, but I suppose it is a few years newer than yours James! :Dou:

    Hello:

Fortunately, there are not too many 63 Invicta specific parts on these cars. I think the only thing that makes it an Invicta are the three Invicta emblems. Mostly everything else is Le Sabre or Wildcat.

I have the body of my 63 Wildcat off right now.

Steel rubber has most of the body mounts, weather stripping and windshield gaskets. Don't know if they make any SW specific parts. You can find a generic rubber edging for the taillights. Check Steel for a replacement.

Forger finding and NOS sheetmetal. I have seen three NOS body parts in 25 years and I own one of them. The replacement floor pans are not great, you would be better off making your own. A 63 Le Sabre 4 dr. will be a good parts car if needed. Rusty floors are a problem on these cars. Check the link to my pics.

Check the 63-64 Impala sites too. They might make some SW parts that I am not aware of.

    Good luck!!!

    Chris
