What wasw the standard transmission fro the 62 Electra, Invicta and Wildcat? Were there any manual transmissions offered ?

I have a picture from the GM Photo Store of a 62 Wildcat, its growing on me. My Grandpa had a Le Sabre I remember vaguely from 62.

I just happen to have a '62 factory manual. I looked it up, they came with a "Twin Turbine Transmission". I assume that's a Dynaflow.

The book's for sale if you want it. I'll never use it. (guess I just did)

    Hi Joe

Does that book show any manual transmissions at all? Actually the '65 manual is how I found out about my Wildcat 4-speeds. I was working on my Riviera and came across a section on 4-speed trannies-the book is for big cars only, so it sparked my curiosity - What big car had a 4-speed? Answer: Wildcat

The book is for LeSabre, Invicta, and Electra models. The only tranny listed is the automatic, no manual transmission is listed.:)

The buick you asked about came with the dynaflow as standard equipment.
