This approval gives you full access to the site, to pictures, and to post, among other things. To be able to enjoy the full potential of the board for you, you need to be fully registered.. and that's easy.. Just send an email to me at jim@trishieldperformance.com and I will verify your registration. This policy will remain in effect indefinitely, as it has completely eliminated the bad actors from our site, who would spam and hack it, once they gained access. Thanks JW

Anyone know the old Part# for pre-1967 centerlink on fullsize GM cars (Riv, etc.)? 1967-70 seems to be DS785, but I do not know the # for 1966. The Parts manual lists 5698113 for the part.

Checking the internet for options on a 1966 Riviera. Would be nice to to avoid Rare Parts $300+ for refurb. Randy Rymal is on Ebay claiming to refurb for $260 - members on this board have raised issues with dealing with him pro & con. Kanter can apparently also do refurb.

Even my 1983 Moog catalog doesn't have a listing for 1966 Riv center links.:Do No:
There isn't a center link listed for 63-65 Riv, or 65-66 Wildcat/Electra either.

    67-68 and 69-70 Riv is Moog #DS-785

My 66 Buick Parts book does list Group 6.230 pn5698113, but in the picture, it shows 5697247 as the intermediate rod for the 66 Riv??? who knows where they got that number...I don't see it listed anywhere else.

The 1940-1972 Buick Parts book doesn't even list any center links/intermediate rods. They must have been discontinued by 1972.
....Buick must have made the originals out of umobtanium.

George recently listed a junkyard 66 Riv somewhere on the board. A good used centerlink might be another option for you.

    GStage1 Always looking for parts!

The 66 Riv is still in the yard....I do not know the condition of the centerlink.
Email me direct and I can check it out or remove it for you on Fri when I am there...... GStage1@buickperformance.com

At least this way......if the one I get you is bad....you can use it for a core and still be able to drive your car while it is being rebuilt.

Need your reply no later than midnight Thur. 11-13.
