I need to get this thing rebuilt. Has anyone bought a kit at the local parts houses or do I have to order it just like every other part on this car?

Is this as simple as a qjet rebuild? I'm thinking I want to just have it done so I don't have to deal with it, and I can be sure it's done right (as if I can actually trust someone else:laugh: ) but if it's not right, I have someone to bitch at.

Most major parts stores can get a kit for it overnight from their warehouse. Just give them the carburetor number stamped on the base front lower left, or on the metal tag. The AFB is a classic, simple design...easier than a QJet...a piece of cake! Frank

I got the kit and a float. I'll be tearing into it tomorrow.

The AFBs have two floats, and almost never need replacing. Happy motoring, Frank
