A good friend and fellow car "nut" is looking at a 59 T-bird (aka square bird) for sale. It has been in storage for at least 20 years. Any "experts" or websites I should refer him towards? The bodystyle does kind of grow on you after awhile.. Thanks. Regards, Upstaged in SW Michigan.

Jeff, Thanks and that appears to be a great site for the Square Birds. I am hoping that a boardmember here has a contact # for a T-Bird collector. Regards, Upstaged in SW Michigan.

When I had my 66 Bird I always went to Thunderbird Ranch website.
It's up in Wisconsin, John Draxler is a very square shooter.

My girlfriend in high school always drove Tbirds back then as her Dad owned Countryside Motors in Lansdowne, Pa. When we started dating in 1960, she had a baby blue 60 convertible, then a turquoise and white 61 HT, maroon/burgundy 62 HT, then a gorgeous silver with a black vinyl top 63 HT.

    Neat cars...:bglasses:

430 is a MEL block. I recommend the MEL forum. The MEL is well engineered, high torque engine. And, has some very unique features. Especially the cooling system, and, the combustion chamber design.
