    It's an eye-catcher!

With $70K invested (plus whatever the car purchase price was on top), the seller is going to take a deep bath on this sale.

It's Richard Griot's (of Griot's Garage) car & I'm sure he (as do we all) realizes that when you pay ppl to do everything it's the rare occasion you can recoup that.

It'll be interesting to see what it goes for. I'd take it right to the BCA Nationals this year! Good thing I don't have space/$, lol.

This 1959 Buick Invicta two-door hardtop is said to have been sold new in Oklahoma and subsequently spent 20 years in a museum in Michigan.
It later spent time in California and Oregon before it was purchased by the current owner in 2006 and subsequently refurbished.

The car is finished in black and white over gray vinyl and cloth upholstery, and power comes from a 401ci V8 paired with a Dynaflow Twin Turbine two-speed automatic transmission.
Equipment includes power steering, power-assisted finned drum brakes, fender-mounted mirrors, a Sonomatic AM radio, front lap belts, and a heater.

Service performed in preparation for the sale reportedly included the installation of replacement shocks, spark plugs, wires, and an intake manifold gasket as well as a rebuild of the carburetor and brake booster.
This Invicta is now offered on dealer consignment with factory literature, refurbishment and service records, and a clean Washington title.

The Series 4600 Invicta replaced the Century in the Buick lineup for 1959 and featured bright rocker moldings as well as chrome “Invicta” badges on the fenders.
This example was repainted in two-tone black and white under previous ownership and features chrome bumpers and trim, quad headlights, fender-mounted mirrors,
a retractable antenna, a wrap-around windshield, vent windows, quarter-panel fins, and reverse lights.

Black-painted steel wheels wear chrome hubcaps, and they are mounted with 215/75 ElDorado Golden Fury whitewall radial tires.
A spare wheel with a bias-ply tire is stowed in the trunk.

The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by power-assisted finned drums at all four corners.
Replacement front and rear shocks were installed in preparation for the sale, and the brake booster was also rebuilt.

The cabin features front and rear bench seats trimmed in gray vinyl with patterned cloth inserts.
Gray and white door panels are accented with bright trim, while gray carpets line the floors.

Additional equipment includes a Sonomatic AM radio, front lap belts, and a heater.
The air conditioning system does not work.

The two-spoke steering wheel features a chrome horn ring and frames a 120-mph speedometer, a clock, and combination gauges.
The five-digit odometer shows 30k miles, approximately 1k of which were added under current ownership.

    Total mileage is unknown.

The 401ci V8 features five main bearings and a four-barrel carburetor, and output was factory rated at 325 horsepower and 445 lb-ft of torque.
The engine was rebuilt in 2007, and service performed in preparation for the sale reportedly included the installation of a replacement fuel filter, distributor,
spark plugs and wires, and an intake manifold gasket as well as a rebuild of the carburetor and a fluid service.

Power is sent to the rear wheels via a Dynaflow Twin Turbine two-speed automatic transmission.

It's not a 4-door, so not really that popular in Scandinavia, this because of the higher asking price in North America for a 2-door coupe.
