An elderly neighbor of mine (he's 90) has a 1952 Chevrolet 1.5/3 ton truck with a fairly new military style bed on it. Truck has a repaint as of a year or two ago and hasn't been run in about a year. Still a 6v system. He says its got a 4 speed trans in it but he didn't seem so sure. He asked me to ask around to see if anyone had any interest in it. The truck is located in Upstate NY near Hudson Falls, NY (not sure of exact location, but its not far from my house). He says there is minimal to no rust but I can't vouch for it or the overall condition as I have only seen a photo. If anyone is interested I can go out and take photos of it and check it out for myself. He is asking $2500 dollars, from the photo it looked to be well worth it. The hardest part would be getting it to where you are because of its size (its obviously a large truck). Reply here if anyone is interested. I can try to put you in contact with the gentleman but he isn't in good health, which leads me to believe that this is why he is looking to sell the truck. It is currently at his camp, not in my neighborhood, so I would have to arrange a day to go there to take the photos. Thanks, Eric
TTT truck looks a LOT as pictured below. The truck pictured IS NOT THE TRUCK FOR SALE, just a close representation. The truck for sale is on a longer chassis and has a military box (short sided dump type box without the dump mechanism). I promised the poor man I'd try to see how many people were interested before he passes (may not be long) so I figured I might as well bump it.
