This approval gives you full access to the site, to pictures, and to post, among other things. 1939 Buick Help

    where is the serial number on the frame located ? Bought this car 25 years ago someone cut the front frame off and installed Camaro sub frame . Thanks

    It would have been on the top of the right frame rail about 3 " in front of the firewall .

    I have a 38, they used the engine serial number as the vin. There is also a serial number on the frame, on the passenger side a few inches in front of the firewall (as Bill posted) with a riveted metal plate. If you are doing title work, it wouldn't hurt to get the frame number on the title too.
