I was hoping somebody would have these or could point me in the right direction.

I need these for the 66 Chevy 12 bolt housing the backing plates, the u joint yoke and nut, and the bolt down spring holders and bolts.

Thanks in advance for any help

    12 bolt parts

I can help with the backing plates. The yokes are real expensive maybe toms differentials and randys ring and pinion. Or try Evil bay. What are the bolt down spring holders??? Better description please or a picture will help (example of another car??)

    Spring holders

    Hi Jim,
I will have to try and find a picture but the 64-66 Chevy 12 bolts have flat spring perches and the spring is held on the rear housing with a round plate that goes over the bottom coil. A bolt goes through a hole in the middle of the plate and housing perch to hold the spring on it. Do you have a picture of the backing plates. I have some that came off of 10 bolts but they look different than the bent up one that are on the 12 bolt.

I think I foung the pinion yoke for 75 dollars new. Is that about the right price?

    Thanks for you help Jim

    GStage1 Always looking for parts!

$75 for a pinion yoke is a lil high.
Contact Alan's Gear Works and see what they quote.
    Here in Clearwater FL 727-784-0452

Local yard has a 67 Skylark here and I think it has the bolt-on
    spring retainers.

Let me know if you want me to get them.

    spring perch

Oh yes I do remember seeing that in a manual (Flat square plate I have really never seen them up in the car bolted in. I do not or have not run across them in my rearend findings. 68-72 are the sellers around here along with camaro rears. The yoke is a bit high correct. 12 bolt stuff has a wide range of prices. depends on who you go to. some have posi cheaper some have rebuild kit cheaper. It is really tuff you have to really do your home work on finding the deals. They are out there. Hunt. Or if you have the money it is never a problem...lol Jim

    Spring hold down washers

The spring hold down washers are not unique to the 12 bolt rear. All 64-66 Chevelle rears, 10 and 12 bolt used the same spring retainers. However they're not flat. They're stamped to capture and clamp the pig tail at the spring bottom. Which brings up the other issue of having the matching early springs. 67 and up wound differently at the bottom. Latter ones match the stamped spring saddles on the axel housing, where the earlies have just a flat porch with a hole drilled through center to bolt up that stamped washer. Bill V.

    washers

I am sure that is correct... also 10 bolt and 12 bolt will use the same springs mounting points everything so why not the hold downs. Jim

Have all these bits & pieces, & easy to get to, though only 12 bolt pinion yokes I have are the typical Spicer 1310 Chevy size.

Never have liked using the 8.5 yokes on the 12 bolt pinions, so usually order the BOP 12 bolt yoke new from Randy's... not cheap, but I don't like adapter u-joints either
