Definitely a good rear end for freeway cruising. My brother's Canadian built 69 GS came from the factory with one. He was clocked at 150 mph buy the freeway patrol. I didn't believe him so I took his car for a spin . Not sure how fast I was going but I buried the needle and it kept going even faster like there was no end . The car was floating , it was a summer night and a vapor cloud formed over the ram air scoops above the hood. Pretty cool . GLWS
This currently has the Chevy 1310 yoke on it,but I have the BOP/Canadian 3R yoke that I can install if needed.
This is the “wider” rear. It’s a 1969. Chevy used the wider rear from 68-72 Buick,Olds,Pontiac started using the wider rear in 1966-72. Some early 66’s had the leftover narrower rears from 1965. The difference in width is 5/8” on each side.
