That is what Wayne went @ Lebanon Valley in the L-88. He qualified @ 11.09, Joel was #2 @ 11.31 but in the end it was JJ in his L-88 in runner-up postion to Wayne.
An all-Corvette final!. Tha's gotta make the cover of some magazine! Wow. $1000 to Wayne! Way to go. What did JJ run? Great to get runner up. In a Certifiable Pure Stocker no less! Way to go JJ! Bugs obviously all sorted out!
I dunno what JJ ran, but I am guessing he is going to have to re-certify this year :Brow: Anyone up for the old "A Corvette isn't a Musclecar Debate" ??? edit found at Moparts there was a certified stock , before an engine failure and repair , L88 4speed vette that ran an 11.68 , if that car really is certified mopars rain of the factory stock races is finished ...
I was there but missed that 10 sec run...Thanks to Ralph and Hemmings for a great well organized event. Congrats Wayne!! Awesome
Think he ran a 11.60's something. I'm sure he could recertify if he wants to, Wouldn't blame him if he didn't, though after all the hassle he's been through developing that car. A Corvette is a sports car. Just happens to be a very American, sports car, and some of them were really fast!
Thanks for all the congrats guys!We had a great time.Looong drive though,2650 miles!!!JJ is the really impressive one though,11.60's in a certified car! Good luck trying to catch him in the Pure Stocks.Met and talked to a ton of great people all weekend, weather held out for the most part, ran a good number, took home some loot, all is good!
I would not blame him either, nor would I wish it on him, but you know if he will get P&G'd in places he never thought he would by other competators if he doesn't :eek2:
He did certify it last year, but didn't get to consummate the wedding vows by running the number. I wouldn't blame him for not wanting to tear it down just to shut up some loud mouths. I trust him, don't you? After all, he's not a Mopar or Buick guy.
