    Hi

I have seen this partial Vinyl roof on some 72 skylarks and really like the way it looks. What is this called? Was this an option? a special edition? I would like to maybe find one of these cars.
    Thanks

Actually, the half vinyl roof was part of the "350" package you could order. Not associated with the Sun Coupe option. Either or.

I had a 71 GS350 with a back half vinyl roof. I never saw another like it. I was not the original owner, so I don't know if it was factory, dealer, or aftermarket installed. There was a chrome molding between the vinyl and painted part of the roof.

That may have been an add on, I'm pretty sure the factory tops had a painted grained trim molding there.

Guys, thanks, Yes it is the one in the add they are calling it the Sport Vinyl top. Not the Suncoupe. I Really like like the looks of it.

    Thanks

I was searching to find out if the 71 GS 350 4speed I just bought was factory or not when I came across this post.

So, if it has the black front half and is trimmed with a black strip in the back, it was probably factory?
