I've done mostly 1/8th mile racing.
with the current combo going thru the traps at 5500.
    1-2 and 2-3 shifts@ 5200

Cam is a TA C118 30-5500 power range
    Heads have gone 11.50's

thats with a 2400 stall piece of crap torque converter.
    stepping up to a JW 9.5 3500stall.

i have plans for a lot of 1/4mile this season.

what happens as the RPM's climb on the big end past 5500?
i'm thinking it's gonna go thru the traps at 6000+
the bottom end is solid...I beams eagle rods and ross pistons.
    Cheers!

    GS Kubisch THE "CUT-UP" BUICK

28" tire would help a bit.
What is the ET and MPH now in the 1/8th?

A better quality converter will help on the big end as well as it will couple better

Id just try it and if it goes thru over 5800 then go to a 28 or 29in tire , no tellin how the converter gonna affect rpm every combo diff,
