I have a Sway bar out of a Pontiac in my 72 GS The sway bar hits my tie rods. Any idea how to solve this problem. Without notching out the 1 1/8 bar.

Not to be a wise guy, but do you have it right side up? If it is off a '72 Lemans/Tempest/GTO, it should fit fine.

Like SteeVee says; plus you'll probably need to make up custom end links - stock won't work from my recollection; and the tie rod adjusting sleeves might need the bolts turned away from the bar. I've run this bar on two GS's and currently do but the details of install for me are a bit vague since it works right the first time if you do it right - and I did - and that was a couple decades ago. Good luck - you'll get it done.

Yes have sleeve bolts turned up. And it is installed correct. Except the fact that it is for a Firebird. Not an A- body. I am wondering if the short bars that connect the sway bar ends to the lower A arms should be longer. That way the sway bar will move away from the Tierods ?
