Just placed last week in El Paso yard. ‘70 Le Sabre sedan. 455 engine - was still there today sans carb. Trans assume turbo 400 went yesterday. Steering column gone.

Yards such as these don't sell whole cars. Once it goes in, and the VIN is "deactivated" and sent to the state department of motor vehicles, it's goose is cooked. Parts sales only, then crushed for scrap. I've tried to buy several vehicles over the years, from this very same yard, and the answer has always been "no". These were vehicles in the intake area, not in the actual yard, btw. They just got in a mid seventies Corvette. Standard fare 350/350 stuff, but heck its a Corvette for heavens sake!

I wouldn't mind a couple hours of picking at that engine bay.

There's probably lots of little bits worth grabbing.

Are either of those hoses an overflow hose? Thick walled and ribbed?

I offered the reservoir to the buyer of the washer wiper motor. He doesn't need it. Tank and hoses $20. Shipped $35.

Yep you said that. Sorry. Not sure if this car ('70 Le Sabre) even had one, there is a standard shroud in the trunk, after the radiator was taken, went through this car, found standard shroud on ground, and put it there in trunk. Thought early seventies Buicks used an "integral" type of deal, where the coolant overflow reservoir was molded in, as part of an "opaque" type of plastic shroud unit??

    GSX 544,

The overflow reservoir wouldn't work on an A-Body, as the outlets for the hoses are located on a different part of the tank.

The Engine picture shows one on the right side inner fender Dave . I just can't tell the the condition . 70 coolant recovery tank was NOT integral with the fan shroud .

FWIW I used a shroud from a ‘70 LeSabre 455 on my ‘67 Wildcat. Cut the top tabs off and trimmed a little off to get it centered on the fan. Works great.

Yep, this car had seat belts dated Feb/March '69 in it. so likely an earlier build (late summer or early fall '69) Parts are 53 1/2 years old. Plastics like this - I'd personally look in the Upper Midwest or perhaps even Canada.
