Does anyone on here know where i can have custom fiberglass doors, hood, trunk lid, bumpers, etc. made? If its affordable it would be nice to cut the weight down that way, i really don't want to start hacking things to reduce weight. Also, what would need to be in it for street safety, like a aluminum frame inside the door or something? Thanks
WS Racing in northern Ohio will make you anything that you send them to copy. I have bought from them several times and always good work and service. A friend just picked up a pair of 67 fenders and trunk to take to them for glass parts. Jim N.
They should also have a hood for the 73. The original hood used was completely destroyed when shipped back.:ball: :ball: Not WS's fault, trucking company I chose were A-HOLES.
anyone in that area own a 69 wildcat who would be willing to take alot of body parts off to have them fiberglassed? shipping 1/2 my car to ohio from california is a bit much. thanks
Think thats bad???? Wait till you get the shipping cost to have the glass parts sent to you then...Take my word.ou:
The only thing listed on their web site are the bumpers. When I get to that point i'll give them a call. I bet I could save 200 lbs between the hood and front bumper.
On the topic of fiberglass, I am still looking for a pair of 66 or 67 skylark doors to take to WS to have molds made. Mike Phillips
i guess it probably would be pretty high, although it doesnt weigh a whole bunch but it is large and requires the truck freight... now i start searching for a wildcat in the area... thanks
does anyone know about how much it would be to have custom molds made? and another question, how would they do the doors? i would like it to be in two pieces that bolt to some sort of frame (alluminum) because this is still a street car and that would improve collision damage to people, i think. thanks
In my opinion it would be cost prohibitive to custom make all the fiberglass for your car. I would find a nice skylark or regal to race...Fish
well that just ruins it for me  maybe ill just have to leave it all metal and run a fast, but not super fast, heavy car. any estimates on cost, or how much it has costed for you, would help. thanks
No, suprisingly i havent seen it. Is he a member here on the board? i wold be interested in talking to him. thanks
Here it is.... Do a search for Wildcat Wagner or Tom Wagner. Tom is local to me and a friend as well.
