It's unfortunate for the seller that super low mileage examples seem to pop up fairly regular. I'll probably get flamed, but its a lot of coin for 270hp...
I don't think the HP has much to do with the value, but on the other hand, the anemic offerings in the 80's by the other GM Gbody builders puts things in perspective. I guess it's all relative. As mentioned, even though they are bringing bucks, it was still a poor investment.
I've been in a pile of turbo cars and I know what they can do, and I know how they compared to the rest of the class of '87. In the new hellcat/gt500/ZL1 world, 700 hp is the new norm, and those guys are usually the ones who trade low mileage GNX type cars around. Thats a pretty big shadow to be under. just my .02..
Look at the winners buying history . 800 mile GN , 10 mile GT40 , in all , about 2.5Million for 6 cars this year on bring a trailer .
I thought the GNX was rated at 300 hp? Wow, you are right, this guy doesn't mess around! He bought another car today for $325k bringing his total to six cars in 2023:
...and chances are not a one of them will see a wide open two lane blacktop. Must be nice though. Here I am debating between store brand corn or Green Giant brand. I can't comprehend spending over a two and a half mil on cars in a lifetime, let alone one year. Capitalism works, I just chose the wrong occupation. Good for them.
When someone Not a dealer starts making those kind of purchases all of a sudden, you wonder if they got some kind of settlement.
