I'm in the process of having an engine built and we are using the stock steel heads for a stealthy look and was just curious of what kind of #'s you Buick engine GURUS are/were getting out of the stock ported heads... ET times or HP/TQ #'s would be appreciated. Thank you
Nice... Thanks guys that puts my mind at ease a bit. Once I can get the info on the motor I'll let you know what kinda power we are looking at. The builder just grins when I ask him how much power we should be making..Hi response-"It's the quiet ones you gotta worry about"
Gessler dipped into the 10s with his black '72 GS that was stock appearing with iron heads, iron intake, iron exhaust manifolds, full exhaust, and bias ply reproduction tires.
If that's the case then a few other fast cars don't count either because a lot of guy were running Gessler heads.
Thanks for the replys. I was hoping for low 10's so the fact there have been guy's hitting mid 9s makes me think We have a chance. I Was concerned about hitting my goal but with these #s you proved me wrong. Thank you.
Yous guys that ran in the 9s, what was the weight of your cars at the time of the 9s? This answer to the weight to HP ratio of the car should help to really know what to expect to run those numbers.
Would love the opportunity to run in the unreal air that Kens car ran those numbers in!! What numbers has it run since?
