His MO seems to be that he buys a car then signs up on an enthusiast website to try and sell parts. I would keep Googling his phone number and sign up to whatever forum he surfaces on. I would haunt him if not to get my money, but just to get even
What a dill weed. It is so hard to sell stuff nowadays, this type of crap really pisses me off. All it does it make it even harder as a small, and honest seller.
No problem, like I said, I don't buy anymore from Canada online, nothing personal on 'Canadians' except that one. I also got ripped off online from a turd in Florida for $3000, but since the business was conducted in the US, I have legal recourse. Across international borders, its a LOT harder to deal with fraud and you have little recourse. Get as butt hurt as you like, but that's the simple truth.
The seller is not Canadian he lives just out side of Los Angeles California..... There are some bad guys on both side of the border.....
I agreed to purchase the tubular front control arm setup from this guy. Kept getting the runaround and I finally gave up and filed a PayPal dispute. Within 2 days I receive a call from his cousin saying the PayPal account is his and it's for a business and his cousin didn't inform him of this. So he swiftly refunded my money to prevent any further issues. Still never heard a word from lwdwn1 about the control arms since then. Of course now I have another PayPal dispute pending with a different company and I just got screwed at a machine shop. So maybe I just have bad luck with this sort of thing =/ Hopefully you get something worked out...
I just looked at the impala thread... Is it the guy jay who put his phone number for the world to see? i bet a few members calling non stop for a day or two would get him thinking...
Its not just you man its 99% of us car guys, if you haven't broke anything or been screwed you ain't trying hard enough ha
youre lucky you got something back. He's been answering my emails but nothing except excuses STILL. Told me he was going to Greyhound last week and I had to email him asking what was going on. I'm sure I'll be emailing him again next week. This guys a joke. I took away 3 potential sales on the impala forum and I'll keep at it.
so this guy keeps dodging me AGAIN and finally he answered saying it was found and ill have it in a week. that was 3 weeks ago. so every single day i have been emailing him with the date and "tracking number?" no answer. until this morning... <gmac2369@yahoo.com> Today at 9:08 AM any reason why you have been ignoring me AGAIN????? i hope you sleep better at night knowing you rip people off. i guess you needed that 250 more than i did. i know for a fact the bumper is no where to be found so don't give me anymore bull**** about how it was lost. thanks for nothing asshole but trust me this is far from over... Jerald Hunter <vintagegentlemen@gmail.com>ToGreg Martorana Today at 11:31 AM </vintagegentlemen@gmail.com>Im sorry asshole. I guess somehow after a major car accident i was suppose to bow down and do a act of worship to you. Im sorry i broke my arm and suffered a concussion and stayed in the hospital a week and couldn't cater to your needs asshole! You obviously don't know that its nowhere otherwise you wouldn't be saying that and as far rip people off again you don't know what the hell your talking about because everyone else got there stuff except you. So get off your ****ing soapbox thinking you know everything because you really dont. And your right, this is far from Over.... Here's a pic to make you see how dumb you sound right now idiot! so he sent a picture of his car which wasn't that bad. and my response... Greg Martorana <gmac2369@yahoo.com>ToJerald Hunter Today at 7:43 PM </gmac2369@yahoo.com> so i guess you didn't get my emails for the past 3 weeks asking for the tracking number? and how about the 5 months prior to this? its not that difficult. take the tracking number, type it into an email and send it to me. then i wouldn't suspect you ripping me off. but just to let you know i have spoken to many people on various forums about you and you have pulled this stuff before. in my whole life of doing business i have never had a package lost, especially not for 5 month, and especially not one thats almost 4 feet in length. so no, i don't sound like a dumbass, i sound like a pissed off consumer who trusted someone enough to send me what i paid for. but instead i get excuses after excuses. I'm sorry you were in a car accident but once again where is the tracking number? man up and send it. not that difficult. that is unless you have another excuse as to why you can't type it in an email. </gmac2369@yahoo.com>
Ha! You must have us confused with a different United States. You've got our present philosophy ass backwards.
He's emailed me twice since then, calling me a dumbass for thinking he's a scammer. All signs point to the obvious. Besides the fact all I've asked for is a tracking number but he keeps coming back with an attitude like its my problem.
I can if you pay for the gas and bail me out if needed. This guy is less than a mile from where i bought one of my 72 gs parts cars. lots of car guys in that neighborhood. Hector
