Tell him you'll mop up those oil stains in his driveway with his limp body unless that bumper doesn't arrive within a week.

I'm sure glad he didn't accept my $700 offer for the disc brakes........I'd be rowing the same boat as you I'm sure.

hopefully he follows through. I had a guy in C A that I bought bumpers also from with misc other crap and it took months. The guy wS a flake on the phone but didn't think anything of it. When I started calling his work after another member tracked him down he got nervous. I got my stuff.

We don't mop up the driveway with them... We feed 'em to the GATORS in the ponds, creeks, swamps. No bodies for evidence...Ain't nothing worse than a cheatin thief.

Looks like he's active as of last night on an Impala SS forum under another screen name-

    http://www.impalassforum.com/vBulletin/showthread.php?p=11708866

If it was me, I would sign up over there and call him out on the forum as a deadbeat. Tell them he screwed you out of a bumper and money. If you google his phone he's active on a few boards selling parts. Cut into his livelihood and see hoe fast you get the part or the money!

I actually went out to his house to look at the car. I was pretty shocked people were paying what I saw online. He offered me the whole car for 2k. I don't think he was capable of taking the car apart frankly. The way he acted and how do I say it nicely? Bein' from da hood... it just didn't feel right. The parts weren't that great and I didn't need the frame. Some parts like the spindles had rust all over them. He's in Ontario, Calif. I prolly have his address and phone in my email somewhere.

Well, at least Gmart has some ammo now. He might be able to exert some leverage. Especially on the impala forum which is only a day old.

I have a feeling a got took but I won't go down without a fight. Im about to blast him on the impala forum and see what happens. I feel like an idiot for trusting him but hey **** happens. As long as it helps someone else out in the future.

And thanks to all you guys for helping out. If anyone can get more info on this guy or even the Greyhound station that would be awesome. Like I said I don't really have any more info. Im about to get on this impala forum I will keep you all updated.

I didn't know who this was. I saw the post of his handle, lwdwn1. Now I see the ad. 39 total posts is a big red flag.
I thought the was a longer term forum member that went rouge
There are guys fishing on sites like these 24/7. people getting burned all the time.
Buyer beware is still the best advice.
I would fly to the guys house and knock on his door late at night.
even pay a sheriff to do and off duty gig. just as back up.
I have sent 800 buck to members on the east coast via pay pal gift.
these members have 2-3k posts, member since 2002 and I;m still nervous.
I'm in California. let me know if you need back up. GL

"never buy anything from a Canadian"?-seriously Andy! I've had some questionable deals/products from Americans over the years but certainly wouldn't make a statement like that about US. Conversely, I have found many great parts and info from my fellow American hobbyists right here. I think what it comes down to is it's not where you live, it's who you are! There are dishonest, opportunists everywhere, unfortunately.

I would say that for him to even reply may be a somewhat positive sign , if he straight up took you I would imagine he wouldn't reply, I may be wrong tho.
