Just a reminder that this great Buick show is getting closer. August 15th is just around the corner. A great show on the grass and under the trees in beautiful downtown Vancouver, WA. The deadline for the early registration discount is close. Find the reg. form in this chain and get it in. Hope to see everyone there. I'd like to think the weather will be better than in Puyallup but we're still in the Northwest and nothing is for sure.:bglasses:
Who knows, that is usually a "day of show" decision depending upon the weather and what is clean and in the garage. As a reminder, if your entry form is postmarked today, you get in at the discounted prices and can save $5 - $10 over day of show entry fees. I sent mine in today, as well as one for a friend of mine.
We'll accept your friends registration - but your's is questionable!! It probably won't beat the deadline. Looking forward to seeing you and all the other great Buicks and Buick people.:TU:
sorry guys but I am going to be going to reno the week before & then the 21st is the beach trip lol. so need to stay home a week before the beach
Only 2 weeks until this great show! Make sure it's on your calendar - looking forward to seeing everyone.:TU:
Hey Duke ~ What time will someone be there to start directing Buicks? -and- Where is the entrance into the park? I googled the park and it appears to be a very nice location with lots of non-car stuff to keep the wives busy. Vancouver has one of the nicest Farmers Markets in the PacNW and it just happens to be open on the same day... right there next to the park. Cheers J ~
Jeff The plan is to open the gate shortly after 8am even though the official start time is 9. We plan to bring cars in on the south side directly across the street from the Hilton Hotel on 6th St. Best directions: from either North or South bound I-5 - take the Mill Plain exit. Go west to Columbia St. Turn south on Columbia to 6th St. Turn west and go approx. 1 block to the entrance. I will also have signs up - so follow the Buick signs. Hope to see everyone there - I will be the frazzled guy with the freaky hair and wild shorts. Be sure to track me down and say hello. :bglasses:
I had a blast at my first show! Thanks everyone who made me feel at home the cars where incredible and everyone was awesome
It was good meeting you aaron, your car looks soooo much better in person then on your avatar. my sons and i had a great time too, with the saturday (on sunday) market going on and the kids play park there were enough things to keep them busy.
Great show. Nice to see you Dan - the boys sure are growing! They'll need there own Buicks before much longer. Aaron - Good to meet you. Thanks for coming. Chris - All ways good to see you. Congrats on your First Place.
One of the best shows i've ever been to for Buicks or any other brand for that matter. Lots of shade and a beautiful park. That 57 wagon Caballero is beyond words. The color combo is stunning. I'll post pictures soon. Eric :3gears:
I'd love to see everyone's pics. My camera (or maybe me) was having technical issues and my photos didn't turn out so well. My Buick loving 75yr old dad (the guy that I bought my current 65 Sky from 20yrs ago) can't make the car shows and I'd like to send him some pics. Duke ~ Another beautiful show in a beautiful park... arguably the best location for any car show that I've personally attended! Sorry I had to leave early but with the 98' heatwave I was hoping to beat the 25 mile stop-n-go traffic up north. That didn't work out so well but I managed to find an alternate route to keep the car moving. That was the 1st time I've driven this car in that kind of heat and it was almost non-stop for 5 hours! I've learned one thing for sure... I need to get that AC working! I'm already looking forward to next year...
He has been really busy so he resized them for you and sent them back to you so you could post them!:bla:
