wanna hear my story.. its kinda long...

ok.. stop here if you don't wanna read lol..

tuesday afternoon or so we here in michigan started getting snow.. ok... fast forward to wednesday morning.. still snowing.. well looks like school is still on, so i leave an hour and some change before class starts, 9:10 or so and the class starts at 10:30.. so i get there at about 10:22 or so... the most hellacious roads i've ever seen.. my poor regal was thinking it was a 4x4 the whole time.. didn't have much of a problem but the traction control got a workout thats for sure.. i get to class and the teacher is 8 minutes late.. ok 10:38, 10:45 i'm out the door going "what in the living hell just happened?" he gave us an assignment, and that was it... i drove an hour or so in the damn shittiest weather i've ever seen risking my life for a homework assignment that could've been emailed.. great.. so my next class starts at 4pm.. i have a little over 5 hours to burn... drive my car to the closet parking lot to the building my next class is in so its easy to get to when i leave... goto a computer lab to do the assignment i should've got emailed to me instead... 5 minutes into that, school is closing for the day due to weather and crap.. great... not even 45 minutes at school and i'm headed home again.. i spent less than 45 minutes in school and over an hour and 45 minutes in my car... that was worth it.. today wasn't that bad.. side roads were horrible but the expressway was pretty good... other than it being 4 degrees outside this morning (not including wind chill, i dn't know what it was with wind chill)... my wipers sucked because my wiper fluid was freezing (and it was that deicer **** thats not supposed to freeze)... so i have big bricks of ice on my wipers and semi's throwing water and nasty filthy dirty on my window and i can't see... good day.. i'm gonna go postal now

i guess i should mention it normally takes me 30-35 minutes to get to school.. lol

I'm not going to spoil anything, but for fun, switch to metric if it does. That'll wake you up.

I hope the truck starts so I can get home from work at 1am. It's actually warmer in the computer labs, than in the hallways.

Our computer labs are usually colder than the rest of the building, even in the winter. We don't need to keep the machines that cool.

I never have gotten out of college classes due to weather. Even though I've always lived on campus, it would be nice for them to close before my last class. Typically they close 5 minutes after its over.

back in 82 we had a winter like that .... i learned the hard way to NOT leave a new jug of washer fluid in the passenger seat of my car when it gets that cold. froze and busted ....but my car smelled pretty nice for a coupe of months.

"It's frickin' freezin' out there Mr Bigglesworth"!

I just went out and started the truck to let it warm up. It's cold enough that the read outs for the overhead temp/compass and odometer will not come on. I haven't had that happen before

well....I guess I'll never know if the temp readout goes down to neg. numbers......it only went down to 2 deg on it last nite

    ....Im thinking it does

-20 with the 25+mph winds this morning and I had to wait at the train station on the platform for 15 minutes because the train was late

I dont know how you guys (David...?) in places like N.D. deal with it. Dont get me wrong, I prefer the cold over hot and humid anyday but there's a limit and I think we've reached it

I see where our winter weather went.:TU:

A couple of weeks ago we were at -47 F with the wind chill. I was on the road yesterday and it was actually raining.:bglasses:
and temps around 30 F. Although freezing rain isn't very nice on the highway it still beats -47. Supposed to cool off tonight to "seasonal" norms. Around -21C tonight with a high of -11C tomorrow. Heat bill last month was 134.00, probably be 175.00 this month.:Dou:

    Hey Alan,
    Yes it does....
Have you noticed when the thermometer goes to minus 30, celcius and farenheight (sp) match?
Warmer here tonight , only -26C:bglasses:
