    Is there a 'Z' rated tire available in 15"? What's the sequence of speed ratings? H, S, Z, V...???

    Thanks.

    Gary,
    B.F. Goodrich makes the Comp T/A ZR in several 15" sizes, but they are a little short for our cars. I have one of their mini-catalogs. It lists the following 15" sizes;
    195/50ZR-15 22.7" diameter
    205/50ZR-15 23.1
    205/55ZR-15 23.9
    225/50ZR-15 23.9
    225/60ZR-15 25.6-this is the closest to the ideal 26" diameter
    P245/50ZR-15 24.7

    Z rating is 149 mph-plus, V is up to 149, I believe, H is up to 130, S is 118. Hope that helps. I'm sure Goodyear makes Z rated 15" sizes also. Check with the Tire rack online.

    I think H-rated are tested way over their speed rating, but of course not for sustained periods. Where the heck are you going to go over 130 for sustained periods though? Don't you get mandatory jail time for that in NV for that? Oh yeah, SilverState Classic...

    Don't forget those rubber band tires are going to make it ride like a lumber-wagon:spank:

    I don't think they make the Comp.TA any longer. Might be wrong on that. Mike D.:(

    Yeah, I don't need no skinnies.

    I might have to go to 17" wheels for highway stuff and swap on the 15" stuff for the track once or twice a year. Unfortunately, that would eliminate big brakes in the future. Rich Burgi runs 17s and they look great. He races as it's driven though and runs the 17s at the track as well.

    I'm also thinking I'll hit Bonneville next year for a shot at the 130mph Club.:laugh:
