I have developed a process to correct the issue with GM Z bars that eliminates the lower pushrod hole from becoming egg shaped thru wear. I reinforce the area, and then machine it to accept a replaceable oillite bearing. The bearing accepts the standard GM pushrod. My car has had this for the past 3 years, and it works flawlessly. I charge $75 for this service. Additional charges: Beadblast/etch prime/paint - Add $25 2 week turnaround time.
Ah, where was this service the last several months, not a week before I put the engine back in the car! ou: I'll have to keep this in mind for next winter. :TU: I bring a second Z-bar and push bars with me on Drag Week incase one of the pieces decides to let go on me due to wear, and they don't make reproduction '77 X-body ones =P
