Was waiting at Hair Cuttery and look out the window to see kids playing soccer using my GS as a goal. One kid was standing in front of the side of the car as a goalie and the other kid was trying to kick it past him!!!I guess if it hit my car it was a goal.ou: Saw one get by and bounce off my car. While the father stood and watched! I went over and said "what the hell are you doing?". The father comes over and says " they ain't hurting your car". I shake my head and drive away...... No respect I say, no respect...
I doubt the father has enough intelligence to have or teach his kid's respect. How did you keep your cool? Bob H.
Wasn't easy.....if this was my GS conv that was painted a few years ago with 8K in paint alone I'd probably be in jail. This was my 02 Regal GS Abboud. Had just washed it and polished the chrome wheels so it wasn't like it looked like a POS.
I'm afraid that I would have been in very serious trouble after showing him a few things to do with his head that wouldn't hurt anything.
Does not matter if it is a GS or a GEO. The father should be setting an example not condoning there behavior. My father would have seen that when I was young. I would have been slap upside the melon for sure.
Sorta reminds me of something I saw the other day coming out of Cracker Barrel. Guy pulls into a parking space in a late model Suburban, slowly creeps forward, makes contact with the car in the parking space in front of him, continues creeping forward, and actually pushes the other car backwards a little bit. At first, I thought well at least the car was a pretty rough looking Cavalier, but then I thought how I would feel if it was one of my Buicks in that space. The guy didn't even back up, so that when he got out of the Suburban it was still pushing up against the other car. I think people are just clueless. Sometimes it's not that they're deliberately disrespectful, they just have their head so far up their own butt they don't notice there are other people in the world.
Maybe this explains why you see some cars that were keyed on every panel. Disrespecting someone elses property does deserve payback.
Yeah, some people just don't get it. I lent my parents car to someone at college once so they could move off campus. The whole hood was all scratched. I asked them about it and they said they didn't do it. I asked them if they put boxes on it and they said yes but that shouldn't scratch it. Well yeah.....in Long Island there is sand and if you set a box down and set it on the car the box has sand on it......ou: They still insisted that they didn't do anything that would have scratched it. I ended up compounding most of them out but I never lent it out again.
This is outrageous. I am definitely a redneck, and definitely would not have been able to keep it civil. There is no excuse for disrespecting someone else's property.
Why the hell would kids be playing soccer in a parkinglot of a haircut place? or any parkinglot for that matter. Some people shouldnt be allowed to procreate!
My thoughts exactly!!! I believe in payback.....:spank: Would you believe I saw this happen at a car show!!! By a GTO owner!!!! He actually took his ice chest out of the car, sat it down (grit, gravel), picked it back up and placed it on the trunk of the car next to it?!?!?! I watched it all unfold. The owner also saw it and he walked up , picked up the chest and threw it along the GTO's trunk so it slid and went over the other side leaving some nasty to the metal grooves.:TU: I was waiting for the other guy to respond , but before he could the guy said " Say one f-ing word to me and you will be eating your teeth. GTO guy walked away.(No expression either. I think it's called having to "affect" or visible facial language-probably a nut job) :error: to look at other cars and the other owner stayed behind livid!!!! :af: We talked and he said the only reason he wasn't goong to jail was cause he figured he could buff it out and was doing a color change within the year. A "newbie" car friend was jus dumbfounded and wondered if that happened all the time.
<ENTER Tim> ...You're right, they ain't hurting my car... Enter my foot in an Adam Vinatieri style 50+ yard kick of the soccer ball Exit soccer ball and me in my car <ENTER ball soccer kid?s the to yard 50+ Vinatieri Adam an in foot Tim?s> <EXIT ball soccer in it me with car my and> End scene
Sheesh, I hate it when people disrespect other peoples property. I would have at least punted the ball.
We can, with the correct permit, but if we tried something like that we'd be in the same boat as if you did. The right to carry has nothing to do with "retaliation" as you just described, good grief...hoping that was just an attempt at humor. Devon
