Just a respite here....NO POLL!!!!!!! :TU:
    Ok gang here we go......
The Riviera was a series from 1963 through 1999 (That is the last year they made them, right?)
So....what are your choices for the the top 4 Rivieras if you had to choose one from each decade?

    My choices:
The 1960's- I would put the 1966 at the top of my list (GS of course!). That is one of the sleekest cars I've ever seen! :TU: Almost identical to the '67, but the '66 edges ahead because it was the last year for a Nailhead engine.....and I already have plenty of cars with the 430! :3gears:

The 1970's- Number one is the 1971 Boattail. Best compression for the 455 in the boattails-ergo more power, plus I like those louvers in the decklid!

The 1980's- My choice here would be a 1985 convertible.....oh so classy and rare! :TU:

The 1990's- I would go for an example from the last year here-a 1999-very stylish! :bglasses:

Sooo........what are your top 4 Rivieras? :Do No:

#1 1965 Riviera GS with the H2 handling package
    - Combination of flowing and hard edge lines, great power and uniqueness
    #2 1968 Riviera GS
    - I like the lines and the styling slightly better than the 66 and 67 and its slightly lighter than the 69
    #3 1985 Riviera T-Type
    - EFI Hot-Air Turbo, styling isn't the greatest but the core of what makes it a Riv is there despite the FWD
#4 1999 Riviera Silver Arrow II
    - Mainly because its the last of the breed and I really don't like anything 1971-79 and 86-95

    a tough one

'73 prefer above the 71 and 72...in some sort of way the first 2 years of the Boattail were a bit overdone
'75  (less HP, but what a smooth ride)
    '85 convertible

I may be biased, but I tend to like the '67 riv with the '66 grill and the 455 inch option. :Brow:

I just don't like much beyond '72 so my vote is for the '65 GS dual quad and the '71 Boattail.

    Hi All,
My favorites may be a little different,
I love the 1970 Riv, Make it a blue GS with blue bucket interior
    A 65 - my favourite early year
I am also fond of the 77-78 Riv- no Olds engines though...
Throw in a last year- 99? for a daily driver.
    Cheers, Adam

    EEE Straight out of lo-cash!

I have a few sections in the history of the Riv I like, I'm not sure on minor detail changes over the years but,

66-69 really like the interior and body style.
71-72, cool cars, but interior is not as nice as the previous years.
73 has a better looking behind than the 71-72 models.

    . . . slightly biased first choice ! :TU:
    - 2nd gen Riv ('68 GS)
    - '65 GS
    - '70 GS (V2 option, sweepspear & short skirts)
    - '99 SA (1 of 200 and the end of a marque)

The 65 Riv Gs is in my opinion the bench mark, classic lines dual quads a car lovers wet dream

the 67 in a gorgeous car and lends itself well to rodding

I owned a 68 so that is on my list by default, another beautiful car

when the boattails first came out I have to admit I thought they were butt ugly but I was only about 13 at the time.. I have come to appreciate them since then the I like the 72

I like the clean look of the 64 Rivs. And it has a 400 Turbo verses the Dynaflow
in the 63s. Next choice would be the 65 Riv GS, 70 Riv GS 71 Boat tail. Other than that I like them all :TU:
