Your opinion on torque converters make/size

I resently picked up a converter on a package trade. I was going to use it but know I have heard SOME bad things about the maker.

What make converter do you think will last behind a mild 455. (cam about .500 lift duration about 220/230, heads ported, 3.42 gear, TH400)?

What stall speed would you recomend?

OK how about what converter do you have and how abused is it and mileage?
