This motor, is a little too tall, may get an offset filter to help, but then restrict my air flow? Option 1: Take stock hood and cut hole to add a stage 2 scoop? Otion 2: Buy cowl inducted hood so it is still drivable if caught in the rain, and sell the original? Need opinions.
Stage 2. If you need to drive it in the rain, there's always scoop plugs made out of foam that'll keep the water out.
Joe, Have the same problem. Using the Triangle shaped foam filter from Edelbrock. I use a q-jet, with SP-1. I think I will have to go to a Stage 2 hood when I add nitrous. I hate to say this but the Chevelle hood with the flipper is the best stock hood GM ever made. Looks good and works well. Sometimes I am tempted to get a glass Chevelle hood and see if I can make it work on my Buick.
