I was just wondering what you guys have as far as floor space and working space in your garage? I wish my parents would have waited to find a house with the double door garage, because my garage just isn't big enough to do anything in. With a 19 foot 4 inch car in there, it just doesn't get anymore cramped! My garage is about 550 square feet, what's yours like?
Hummmm, well the attached 3 car garage is 30 x 30 and the "Buick Barn" is 42' x 60' with 2 24' x 9' overhead doors. The only problem is both are filled with vehicles/tractors/ztr mower/ stuff, I really don't have too much room to work in. Oh, the Buick Barn has Air Conditioning, too. Makes days like yesterday with 93* and 80% humidity very nice to work in.
I have a carport that only covers 3/4 of the car. Be glad you have a garage at all. Working on a car outside in February sux..............
I have *about* a car and a half sized garage, but that "half" is taken up by two stoves and a refrigerator (btw, anyone want them? As far as I know, they work, and I want them out of my way... unloading my junk on someone else  ) and the front end of my garage has two storage shelves slated to go where the stoves and refrigerator are currently. Other than that, the previous owner had some nice work benches and cupboards put in at some point, so once everything is arranged it wont be too bad to work on one car in. Only problem is the low door height
Two and a half car garage with utility door entrace as well as one big door. It'll fit a Boattail and a Estate Wagon at the same time. Right now all there is for workspace is an aisle here and there to manuver around lawnmowers, snowblowers, and speakers. But there is workbenches, cabinets or surfaces covering half of the wall space.
my garage is an older one, can just barely fit my 75 le sabre in it, and leaves about 10 inches room on both sides to walk around. my workshop is a home built one 22x18 made from used lumber, and old corrugated tin
3 car attached...main part is a double door with our daily drivers in (22' deep) and the 3rd stall with single 8' door is where the convert is...only 20' deep so the front bumper touches the back wall and I have about 3" to spare to close the door...have about a foot either side to work....
4.5 car Detached - it was originally a 2-car garage that was pushed back another 2 and over a half by a previous owner who was a mechanic. ....it was a BIG selling point (for me :Brow: :Brow: ) when I was house shopping 4 years ago - luckily my wife fell in love with the house. She asked If I liked the house and I answered....."There was a house on the property too ?!?!?!?" o No: o No: :spank: ou:
Single stall. And it drives me crazy. But since I now have my air compressor installed (Needed 220 run out there) it is much less painful. I can't get enough air tools. I've been able to do a lot in the small area, except body work. Hopefully thats the next thing Im going to try. :TU:
shop size I have a 2400 sq. ft. shop with a 14' door. I have air piped throughout the shop with about 12 spots to attach air hoses. Also, a 7000# two post lift. There are wall plugs about every 6' around the walls. It also has heat and air conditioning. Last but not least, a fridge that is always stocked with cold beer. It just doesn't get any better than that. :beer Randy
Double attached garage is full with the BMW, bike and tractor. The double carport has the Buick and the 72 Ford F100. It's really nice working on cars out there, even in February when temps drop to the 60's at times. I'm filled up, need to add on or build another building for storage as I do have 1.5 acres. I'd like to sell the bike and park the tractor in the carport to open up 1/2 the garage. Anyone want to by a 2002 Suzuki vs800 Intruder with 6K miles? Keith
Luckily, my garage is 40 x 25, has two floors and 3 car bays. :TU: Now, if I could only afford all of the Buick parts that I need I could fill that space. :ball:
:ball: 0 That's why the GS isn't inside yet. But I have a garage, a very small one attached to the house. I'm not sure of the size though.
24' x 30' garage, with 26' x 30' concrete slab behind garage, 7000 lb two post lift. I plan on going out another 30' x 34' with concrete. How do you post a pic? o No:
You can either chose to upload it here, or you can upload it to a place that has free webspace, or to a personal website, then use the insert image icon near the top of the message box and that will display the picture in the post.
20 X 22 attached with a double OH door. Called a double car garage, might apply if you had 2 very small cars. My Skylark is in it now, all the kids bikes, lawn mower, snowblower & "stuff". If I'd known what I was into I would have moved the house over on the lot before we built, & made it another 10' wider. She's just tickled tp be parking her new car out in the weather. Once the Buick is into winter storage she can use the garage.
