How can Cream be underrated when it's practically the prototype for hard rock bands? Cream was the first "power trio," influencing the like of the Jimi Hendrix Experience, among many others.
Underrated Yes wrong word. They only completed (2) Albums. Ginger Baker got arrested. And they wanted to extradite him here in the US. So he never returned. So the band was done. They could not tour here in the states. So the Journey was way to short. I would have liked more music from them.
Cream produced 4 albums during their tenure, plus several posthumous ones. They broke up because they wanted to go out in style, rather than on a flat note.
Dick Wagner. I discovered this band via satellite radio. Here's another one by them. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>
And with whom did Dick Wagner really achieve guitar god status? I can think of two that would be familiar with everyone here!
OK, you've got me there since I'm not going to Google that. Maybe the answer will come tome tomorrow!
I would have never guessed those. Always believed Lou Reed played all the guitar notes on "Sweet Jane", which is a favorite of mine. Alice Cooper is s fountain of rock and roll information, and a pretty decent golfer too!
