next to my 454 Chevelle(the heads)"---Yes I said but at about 130 LBS less weight on the front wheels, it makes the IMPORTANT things bigger! Pete
i wouldn't worry about his opinion. take him out to the track and spank his chevelle's @$$. then, when he's busy asking you how this can be, you just say "i dunno man, your engine is sooooooo much bigger than mine" ... and grin at him. :3gears:
My brother has a 70 ss with a big block, his car ran a best of 12.8 in the quarter. He had headers, aluminum intake, 4.33 gears, 4 speed, blah blah blah... My Regal with a junk yard motor ( good condition, low mile electra motor ), headers, aluminum intake, 3.90 gears, turbo 350 trans, 2,200 stall, ran a best of 12.4!!! His heads were ported, polished, High lift cam, 11:1 pistons etc... couldn't keep up with that low compression smog motor with a tiny cam in it ( KB 107/118 ) I had stock 73 Riv heads BUICK POWER RULES FOREVER!!!!!
I'm not insulting your brother here, but remember that the typical Chevy ego adds at least 200 pounds to the car.
