That is one of the things that gets me going. The cops don't use a blue tooth ear piece around here. I don't think that talking on a cell phone is any worse than talking to someone in the car, better actually since you don't look over at the other person but if it's not safe for me to do it, it's not safe for them to do it! The computer just blows me away. The damn thing should go in a shut down mode when the car goes into drive! They have a radio and a dispatcher with a computer if they need something while they are driving.
For full disclosure, I DO sometimes talk on my phone.I don't think of it as a big deal.o No: I don't have to search for most of the numbers and it takes as much effort (and is as much of a distraction as hitting the radio button). Of course I usually don't speak for more than a minute or 2 especially if in heavy traffic. (I try to ""read " the road further up than where I am). Decades ago people wanted to ban radios in the car, saying it would distract the drivers.:Smarty: Now that was just old am/fm stuff, not even switching out a cd. He asked " was that when you skreetched off in your Riv?????":beer I said yeah, dude I coulda been shooting up right there and you wouldn't have been one bit wiser.
