I caught part of a David Gilmour Live in Gdansk concert on Palladia tonight and it was great. So, no matter how young or old you are, who has a Pink Floyd, Dark Side of the Moon CD in their collection? I'll be the first to fess up. I've had one since the 70's and still listen to it from time to time
You sure you've had a CD since the 70's? It must be an album, cassette or 8 track! ou: Just kidding with you, I know what you mean. I have "Dark Side of the Moon" on vinyl PLUS I also have a Master Recording of it on vinyl (remember those?). It is a classic that will live forever. :TU: Mike
Never liked them when I was young but I appreciate them more now. David Gilmour and Nick Mason are serious car guys too.
Pretty sure I still have the album around here somewhere but I haven't had a turntable for years now. I had it on cassette for a long time until I got my first CD player, then bought the CD. If I'm not mistaken, it is the top selling album/CD of all time. I'm 56 and am just curious to know if any of us older guys were still listening to some of the stuff we did 30-40 years ago and if any of the younger generation have it as well.
Hey Bill, 55 here and I still listen to our high school tunes. Nothing gets the blood flowing more, with MachineHead cranked, cruising in the Buick. Thanks Mel
I have Dark Side and Brick in the disk changer in my F-250. I listen to them often and my kids are growing to like it as I brain wash them through their formative years.
I have Dark Side, Pulse (cd and dvd), The Wall, and Delicate Sound of Thunder. Ive got some stuff from Live at Gdansk on my mp3 player as well. (I'm 26 to address your age question)
I have almost all of Pink Floyds LP's,and also have most in cd format.I have the special edition(SACD)of "Dark side of the moon".Oh,and a few David Gilmore solo cd's.But then I'm an old guy........lol
just listened to it and Animals 2 weekends ago on a roadtrip to Plattsburg. Bought those together in vinyl years ago and to me they are like a set.
I also have both vinyl/CD for dark side, in addition to Pulse/Delicate Sound of Thunder. I was at Nassau Coliseum for 2 of the 5 shows they recorded Delicate Sound. To this day, I'm still looking for me on the right of the Stage :kodak: Pink Floyd live in concert is not a show - it's an EXPERIENCE. I ranted/raved about this concert to my family for YEARS, so much my aunt (in her late '60s/early '70s at the time) wanted to see the next tour with me. I took her to Giants Stadium in 1994 and now she's a Pink Floyd fanatic
I was listening to a classic radio station, and they made the comment that any band named PINK should also have a FLOYD. I bout the box set about 7 years ago. and still love it. :beers2:
I still listen to all the music from that time ... 51 here. I've got vinyl in stacks. All original stuff. Dark Side was one of the first albums I purchased. I have in in Vinyl, Cassette, 8 Track, Reel to Reel, and MP3. Gotta love Floyd. I enjoyed their Division Bell CD..
call me a nerd but I only play 60's era music in my olds, and 70's music in my riviera, i have an ipod in each car that only has this type of music on it.
I check on you tube alot of the songs are posted. http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=David+Gilmour+Live+in+Gdansk+&aq=f
Wow, that one just took me way back to the 70's ... ...to right about here ( not to worry, I also had my Riv).
