In the beginning, it looks like his welds were too hot and burned holes into the metal he was welding. Is he even using the right welding wire? At about 2:27, I wouldn't put too much trust in that frame rail at all.
It is good that people want to restore the old muscle cars. But, this is not the way to do it. His welding looks like it is on top of the metal. Penetration would probably burn through most of the parts he is trying to patch together. Just welding or patching rust does not make a good fix. He seems to be really upbeat about the whole thing. That's good. The workmanship is... well... just not there. Part 13 and 14 is up on YouTube. Thak a look at that. I'm not saying any more.
Thats exactly what I was thinking. Good thing its not a convertible, or else it would fold up over the first rock in the road.
Mongo make weld. I saw better welds back in 7th grade shop class. It's a scary thought to think it may make it back on the road! :eek2:
Don't worry about it- he'll drop in a hot 350 and some 4:11's, it'll hook, fold at the "welds", and thats all she wrote!! Can anyone say "Short wheelbase Camaro"??ou: Robert
To the tune of Bon Jovi You give BOB a bad name BAD NAME!! Ugh I still almost threw up in my mouth 2:27 I had to kill that video! Forkin Hackers need to find out who it is so they never work on anything I have to encounter on the open road. Oops.... BARFFFFFFFFFFFF :ball: Let the night mare begin hopefully it will rust away on the jack stands & never see pavement again. SR66 :TU:
