Hey George, you guys must have had some nice day.I was at a baseball field all morning with my son and was thinking it must be nice at the beach. You guys doing anything during the week?
yea it was beautiful to see all those Buicks there and it was a beautiful day as well, got to meet Jason Cook finally and other guys from the board,i`m free this week after work if anyone is going to any car spots, let me know. Thanks
Sunday at Captree was AWESOME!!! . There were cars there of every description. Had to be a few hundred at least. The Long Island crew made an impressive showing once again. Almost everyone was there. I think the only one we were missing was Steve and his 71 (There's always next week Steve!!) We had almost every year GS covered from a 65 GS 401 4 speed to BillMah's 1972 GS 350 and everything in between. Eric Stoldt even brought out his beautiful original paint 61K mile 70 GSX (this was the GSX used in Duane's resto seminar). Eric had to go home and wipe all the drool off it from me. Larry and Ron took a bunch of pictures which Im sure they will post. Just a great all around time! George, nice meeting you too finally! :beer . Lets see if we can do it all over again next week! :TU: Oh well....back to the salt mines for another week.
I was thinking the same thing when I logged in this morning. Just about everyone had a camera hanging on their neck!!! Did anyone use them? uzzled: I know Kenny(RedGS1) is having 'puter problems so he is excused. Ron(Tufbuick) had to drive the gauntlet L.I. end to end 1 1/2 times and probably fell asleep as soon as he got home! OK, he's excused. Larry????? Is this any way for the "director in training" to behave? Not excused!!! :spank:
:jd: Let me get this straight - No-Show Hollywood George MADE IT to Captree afterall ??? 2005 is going to be a good year..... :3gears: The Dog Nazi's were out and nailed me and Mocha within 15 feet of my car in the Far, Far Lot :af: uzzled: I put her back in the RoadMonster with the windows down and left her....but only stayed for about a half hour before the guilt got to me. .....so we went up to the NorthShore for a nice long walk on the beach, a Swim, and a Crab Dinner for Mocha that ended up costing me $110 after the Vet visit - She ate a dead crab in the sand - did this many times before, but this time it musta cut the inside of her mouth - he lip swelled and she was drooling more than usual about an hour later.....So wfie/nurse thought it best she make a visit to the Animal hospital :spank: ou:
Geez, you guys have no patience! Director in training? Nahh, I don't think so  , there are plenty of guys who get to fill those shoes before me ou: I didn't take many pictures, I was enjoying the weather, and running my mouth most of the time. Here's a shot of my car, Jason's, and George's 67 Ragtop.
And for all the Long Island guys who were wondering "Where is Bruno" Well he picked up a POS, mouse turd ridden, 70 GS455 Parts car on Saturday, and was busy taking it apart. It has a BA 400, and some usable parts. Bucket seat/console, burnished saddle interior, power door locks, pointed lenses, speed alert speedo, AM/FM radio, and an intact 455.
Larry's right. We were all enjoying the weather soooo much and seeing everyone with their cars for the beginning of the season that the cameras were forgotten. Our jaws got lots of exercise though!! Good time as usual. Those pictures were taken very late morning because there are empty spaces in the lot. Earlier, the entire 750 stall lot was filled and the park federalies were turning cars away. Unless of course you told them you were there to go fishing. :Brow: I know Ron was snapping away earlier so he may have some nice pics as always. :beer
Is that a Rim-Blow on that parts car? Pretty neat looking car, also looks like it has the early-70 only gold top on it. Is it a rust bucket or just too far beaten to be restorable?
Nice pics, except for the sad looking 70 GS 455 parts-car. It's good that there is useable parts, but sad that it is a true '70 GS 455. :ball: Looks like a good time, and thanks for sharing the pics Larry! :beer :TU:
And Ron really liked this 67 GS400, body-off-the frame resto. The son-in -law (Steven) bought one the same color, with a matching interior. This one has a black interior. Nice car! I'm sure Ron has some better pictures of it.
Hmmmm..... Looks like a good score...a Rallye clock??? <img src="http://www.v8buick.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=46575">
I took a load of pictures as usual and then went out to my son-in-laws. He wanted to see the pictures.....so we down loaded them into a file on "HIS" computer. His card reader must be locked on auto erase as per his 2 year old son.....so when I went to do my usual photo essay for Y'ALL......"NO PITCHESS" !?!?! He is not that computer savy.....so when I do contact him, LARRY70GS said he'll try to walk him through E-Mailing me the file. SORRY..........$HIT HAPPENS !!!!!!!! :af:  :af:  :af:  :af:  :af:
OH NO!!!! It may be too late!! ou: He's TWO!!! He probably already ate the computer!!! But he's cute as a button. Right Grandpa!!!
