Wow, haven't seen the compact model Riv before; must have been a California special?! Wash job and a "little" paint (compact) and who knows...

That guy and car is a regular on the AACA ROA board. I'm sure it's as he describes, he seemed to know his stuff about them when I was on there.

Bucket list car for me.. someday the timing will be right.

Just curious- and I don’t want to hijack this thread from the conservation on the car, does anyone know how many documented examples are left?

That's not JZ's '66 GS. Same color, but Jason's had a repaired engine (cracked-block), and he did a complete frame-off resto. Last I heard, he keeps it safely parked in a heated facility somewhere in PA. His makes this one look like a beater.

    I don't think it's JZ's, I think it's Chimera's, hence the license plate......And yeah, Jason's is as nice as they can get.

Well, if the numbers check out, it's got all the right bells and whistles, but there are some condition issues that would cause me to pause; - I love the model and the year, always wanted one of these, but what would it cost to totally restore one properly? Not cheap; and this car needs quite a bit of work to put right. It's got a lot going for it, but just about everything on that car is "tired". The price being asked is pretty much top of the mark in this condition, if it were in better shape, then no question it'd be worth it.
