Year One discount and BPG discount?

Discussion in 'The Bench' started by Paul Massicotte, Feb 28, 2004.

  1. I just got a new card from YO and was wondering if I could use the YO 10% and get the BPG 10% simultaneously? Any help before I get a parts needed list going?
    Thanks

  2. That's a good question Paul. Can't say that I know the answer to that one. I also just got a spring sale card from YO, but mine says 20% discount! I kind of doubt that they combine discounts, but it never hurts to ask. The card does say "May not be used with any other offer."

  3. David,
    I only got the 10 % card or if someone has the 20% card could I use the same code as yours. I guess I lost the Year One lottery!

    Some of us bought so much that YO just gave us stock options and a special discount . No they will not let you stack discounts.

  5. Paul, I don't know if you can use my sales code or not? The card also says "this offer is not transferable". If anyone knows if you can "get in trouble" with YO for giving out your sales code, please comment here. I would be happy to share it otherwise.

  6. Thanks Jim, for the clearing of the stacking discounts. When I look at the discount card (Sales Code SP4C) I see it as a vin tag.

    SP= Spring
    4=?
    C= Possibly 10%

    As for the non-transferability, I think that means pending orders or multiple orders.

    Is that what you have or are you speculating like me?:confused: :TU:

  9. It's pretty impossible that anyone would have any issues with YO over giving someone else the code. Since it's only 4 digit, it's likely the same code given to everyone that they offered the 20% discounts to. I'm not sure how I got on the A list for discounts, I've bought stuff for a couple years now, but nothing in the thousands of $$, that's for sure.

    David,
    Me either but I just thought I'd ask. Thanks for the code breaker. I wouldn't think they'd have anyway to tell who's got what code on their card.

  11. Yeah, I'm pretty sure I've seen others share codes here before, and no word of anyone suffering any repercussions from it.

    I someone wants to e-mail the 20% code I will try it :Brow: I need to make a big purchase from YO...... They stopped sending me cards since I have not needed to purchase anything in a few years...

  13. I don't think the sales code will work until tomorrow, March 1st.

    That sale is the following, 10% off everything except discount exempt items. Discount-exempt status applies to mostly performance parts. If you go over $500 AT THE SALE PRICES you get an additional 5% off. If you go over $1000 AT THE SALE PRICES you get an additional 10% off.

    It is not quite a 20% discount, works out to like 19% off actually.

    This offer is not transferable is supposed to mean its for you only and cannot be transferred to anyone else.

    You can't stack discounts with this sale. Its not valid with any other offer.

    BTW, BPG members get 5% on all discountable parts $1-99 and 10% off on orders $100 and up every day of the week. Everybody else has to spend $500 or $1000 respectively to get that kind of deal. That's one of the benefits of your club
    membership.

    As off yet I do not believe that the club discounts are available on-line you have to call-in to get them.

    Incidentally, discount-exempt parts can still qualify you for the volume discounts on non-exempt items. IE) buy $90 of discountable stuff and $10 off discount-exempt stuff and you get the $100-up deal on the $90 of discountable items.

  16. Mike, thanks for the explanation. I do not believe my promo card, which states 20% discount, makes any mention at all of order $$ requirements to get the discount. I'll have to have another read when I get to work today.
