Yardley, I'm in! Let me know on the drinks we need (NO PEPSI PRODUCTS!!). As you know I work for Coca-Cola, AL.
Al, Ken is bringing some drinks, but Coca Cola is always welcomed in my house. We've owned the stock for years! Bring what you can!
Yards, I got your pm, It looks like the wife should be off that Saturday & if she is, I'm there. Also I am working on her to make a salad, she hasn't responded yet. She works nights (on the street) no, just kidding, at the hospital so I am iffy on the salad at this time. Any other suggestons? If I can coerse her into it, I'll update the thread. I mapquested it & you are an hour (their time, not Buick time) & it looks like I will be using my new 5th gear all the way down the turnpike east. Coming from West Chester. What time should I get there??? We have so much torque that I can pull 5th gear (.64 od)from 38mph-up w/out bucking. 3:23 rear!!!! :3gears:
John... West Chester, PA??? If so, you should speak with Marco. He is in Downingtown. Not too far from you. No bother about the salad. Looks like we'll have all we need.
Marco, send me a pm if you are going. Maybe we can meet on Rt 202, on the way to the turnpike east. It would be nice to convoy Buicks in case we have a mechanical situation, flat, etc... One of my first musclecar lessons I learned when I was 16 was...Never leave home without tools. I drink Miller Lite. I'll bring a case or two. Sound ok?
John ... you have GOT to take me for a ride in the 5-speed !!! Im very close to deciding to go the same route Cant wait to meet you and see your ride :TU: :beers2:
No problem. You are absolutely welcome to take a ride in my car. You'll love the 5 speed. On the highway, I can cruise 75mph @ 1800 rpm. I can't wait to bring it. My only regret is that I want to sign the driveway, but I haven't installed my no-hop bars & I am getting baaad wheel hop. I may try anyway(if permitted). Hey Yards, I can make Brownies!!! I make killer brownies! (legal ones of course) If no one took that, I'll do it. Also. If anyone is interested in my 70-71 GS air cleaner complete with stickers, foam, elbow for the exhaust duct, & water neck bracket, I'll bring it. It's completely restored, however, not cheap. ( I know this should be on the parts for sale thread, but I wanted the attn of people going to Yardley's. Also, not trying to turn it into a swap meet, but saves shipping)
Now there's an idea! I'll bring some old catalogs from various A-body suppliers, and put them on the Freebe table.
I'll do cookies. Sounds like John will make brownies. looking forward to it. Will there be any kids? May have my 7yo with me.
I am planning to bring my 15 yr. old son, we need to pick up some ideas for a 72 Skylark that he and I are in the middle of restoring. I also have a bunch of 69 skylark parts, If anyone is looking for anything, let me know, I could bring it to Yardley's!
Damn, all this Yuengling talk has gotten me the shakes. Missing the finest beer in all the land. Living up in NH nowadays and can't get the Lager past NY! Trying to get to my first Yardley event. Lining up my trip back home now and trying to schedule it to coincide with the event.
