I just cured a problem that has plagued me for years on my wifes GS. It has a sound drone at 2500rpm cruising that is soooooo annoying!!:af: anyway I addedd the X pipe today and it is almost all but gone!!!!:beer It also sounds like a meaner tone now too. I took the "mankiller" fior a ride and she agreed it sounds much better. If it wouldnt be to much to imagine I think it even runs better.....:TU:
Mike I would have to agree with you, my convertible sounds louder than the hardtop that has the X-pipe and they both have the same 3" Walker Super Dynomax muffs. You got me hooked on the X-pipe when I came to your house to pick up the girdled block. When you listen to the sound of our cars at Kearney on the video you can tell when we are doing our burnouts before we even come into the picture.:TU: Speak softly and carry a big stick.
The X pipe definitely eliminates a lot of drone. My brother has the same muffs as me on his car with the X pipe and it is a good bit quiter.
Putting on the Dr. Gas x-pipe quite literally kept me from selling my car. It eliminated a drone/vibration that haunted me for almost three years. Other than the $75.00 I paid for my passenger side chrome gs mirror, the x-pipe was the best money I have spent so far.
I could be wrong but the car seems more responsive than it ever has been.....:eek2: Now if I could get the carb from stumbling!!o No:
Well....... Its a 2.5 inch Dr GAS set up. I have Walker Super Turbos and 2.5 inch mandrel bent pipes with stock manifolds... I dont have a picture of it but I do have one of the 3.5 inch under my GO FAST street car.... It has Magna Flo race Stainless muffs from the local shop and 3.5 inch pipes from Torque Tech....
