Are there any mufflers that sound like the Fonzi card clothsepined to the front fork of a pedal bike like when I was a kid. That sounds cool.
I really like my 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust and dymnomax superturbos. A nice deep rumble. Some refer to them as quiet, but they are not too quiet. As for flowmaster, the name is an oxymoron. They don't flow compared to dynomax.
My suggestion is to leave the cross pipe off and run it. Then see if you like it without. For the very small gain you lose serviceability too as both pipes are now tied together.
You have the potential of the cross pipe being in your ways times. Or if you need to pull the exhaust, it's all tied together.
What I did is flange the exhaust behind the mufflers. That whole section drops out between the headers and back of the mufflers.
