    Hi Jon,

Any chance you've been able to get in touch with your buddy about the Stage 2 heads?

I'm still hoping someone can help me get this engine built so I can put it into my GSX. All I need are the heads........

Finders fee paid if I can buy the right set of heads!!!!

    Thanks!

Rob....cool story. i read the earlier thread from JW and realized that I now own the car that your S2 engine came from!!!....it's a silver/black 70 stage 1 that Jim Lore had at one time...it made it's way up north and i bought it from a friend last year. It still had it's original driveline that was pulled out of the car and replaced with that stage 2 block. I guess the car owner's son cracked up the front end of the car one night and it got parked.....small world!!! chris

Still looking for IRON Stage 2 heads. It would be fantastic if I can get some heads to complete the engine build and have it installed in the GSX in time for the GSX Reunion in August.

HELP!! I need some IRON Stage 2 heads. Someone has to have a nice set that they are willing to sell for a special project. My car is a "keeper" so please feel confident that the heads are going to a good home!!

    Thanks,

    Rob

FINALLY got a set of IRON Stage 2 Heads!!!

Was hoping to be able to get the engine completed and installed into my GSX before the reunion but not going to be able to make it at this late "Stage" of my project.

Probably a month before engine will be complete. JW will FINALLY be able to complete my build!!!

Looking for a VINTAGE Holley 4781 carb...anyone have one to sell?

    A few pics before cleanup...

Nope, just "stock",she'll probably drive it down since I'll tow Scat.Been thinking of leaving Scat home and relaxing a little and let Sandy have her week end.

No, I would go through these also, just because they were sitting for so long...but they are really, really clean ones. I already passed on some other correct vintage 4781's but they had issues like air horn milled off, one had the vent pipe missing, vent pipe bent, linkages cut off, excessive corrosion...things like.
But they are out there if you look hard enough...oddly I never found any on ebay or the net, just at swap meets...and they usually know what they have...we are competing with the "over the counter" LS7 builds as they used the same carb through Chevy.

I may have to talk to you about one if you have an extra pending what I find when I go thru mine.

No, these are a different set of heads. I've found 4 sets over the years but each had their own issues. The set I just got are the best I've found. Would still LOVE to find a true NOS set of heads and I will always have an eye out for those, if they exist!

Contact the lead you turned me onto and good luck with your project. I'm following your thread and I'll post my results as well once I get my engine on the Dyno!
