I'm looking for two stickers. One is for the air cleaner "Keep you GM car all GM". I understand from searching that the correct '70-'71 sticker is not reproduced. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm willing to buy NOS if correct and in good shape.

Second sticker is the yellow oval one for the steering box. I do not know what the proper code is, but I have a '71 GS with power steering. I'm not sure of the box ratio, but that should be easy to figure out if that's part of the code. I believe the remnants of my old one was .75 x .50, but I couldn't read the code. Failing the correct sticker being available, I'll attempt to make one if someone can tell me the correct code and post a picture giving an idea of font size.

    Thanks.

    Ken,
    '71 Assembly manual states:
    # 7809529 A -Series less N41 Option ( Code BZ)
    # 7811977 GS with 455 & N41 option ( Code DV)
N41 was variable ratio power steering.
Just rebuilding one for my '71, it's from a '72 GS350 & it is variable ratio.
    13/16:1.
The Assy Manual for '72 must be slightly different as the '72 is a 350 car.
The build date from the '72 steering box agrees with the build date on the car, I expect it's the original.

I think Jim Osbourne repo's the air cleaner decal. I bought one from him
    for my 71.

    Ken,
I have the yellow oval steering box stickers with the codes on them. (Just finished putting together the 69 stickers for Nick)
    Give me a call.

The "Keep your GM car all GM" should have a code "BA", "BB" or something like that. Any "B-" code would be good, just don't put a "P-" (Pontiac) code on the car.

Duane: I would be interested in a set of steering box stickers.
    1 for manual
    1 for power

    Thanks, Ken

    PM also sent to Duane

    "Have any more to spare?

At this point I believe I can make up all the chassis stickers for any/all combinations of 69-72 Buick A-body...........and that includes all the steering box combos such as manual, std power steering, and quick ratio power steering stickers.

Not to turn this into an info-mercial but,

My standard sticker sets include the following,
F&R Shocks (including Pliacells if you had them)
    F&R Springs
F&R Swaybars (for the cars that came with them)
    Frame
    Master Cylinder/Power Booster Tag

and my deluxe set also includes the following,
    Throttle Cable
    Steering box
Valve Cover Decal (Which ID'd the engine/trans combo)

PS. My sticker sets are put together using your specific car options. They are made specifically for each car. I do not sell generic sets.

Therefore the best way to get a set is to call me and give me the needed info over the phone. My number is 610-544-6776 after 7:30 PM eastern.

Thanks for the response, guys. Original yellow sticker was long gone/illegible when the car was taken apart. Is there a way to tell what box you have? Lock to lock rotations? Any way to tell without taking the box apart (which I won't be doing)? If it's any indication, while I've added a rear sway bar, the car did not originally come with the F41 option.

And thanks for the heads-up on the air cleaner sticker and source. It's good to know that slightly incorrect ( as long as it starts with a "B") is ok. Just ordered the sticker from Osborne, BX 6485870; it's a 1970 P/N, but I guess it's as close as I'll get and is acceptable.

Might be a rough way to do it, similar to a rearend ratio.
    Example:
    Turns lock-lock 3.5 X 360 deg.=1260 degrees of travel.
Pitman moves 90 deg lock to lock.
    1260 / 90 = 14:1 ratio.
This is pretty simple math, not sure how to adjust (if needed) for variable ratio.

    Ken,
Both the steering box and throttle cable stickers were in the bag with all the other stickers I sent Nick. The only one you were missing was the valve cover decal that I had to make up and send to Nick at a later date.

You should have everything I make. If you are missing something let me know.

I'll check with Nick, Duane. I just looked and I don't believe the throttle cable sticker is there either. He may have a baggie with those two on his work bench.

I need to replace the PS pressure hose. After I do that, I'll give your method a shot. Thanks, Steve!

If you can't find them let me know and I will bring them to the BPG.
